All of my watercolors are created outside; I draw on site with watercolor pencils. They are finished back in the studio where I work with water and brush to create broad forms. I use prepared paper for all my watercolor work: the paint settles and dries more slowly, creating a broad range of effects I cannot directly control. There is evidence of that in this piece: how the dark green wash flows into the forms to its left. Only at the tops of the trees is there any control of intentional imaging. This balancing between articulated / un-articulated mirrors the seeing of energy: it is seen / unseen, sometimes simultaneously.
This original watercolor is 14"x11", with a 9" diameter image.
You can order this image at many different sizes, up to and including 66"h x57"w. There are also a few choices on what to print the image on. It will look best on a matte, white paper, as that is closest to what it was created on. There are also options here for you to frame the piece. Please get in touch if you get stuck, especially regarding making choices in the presentation of the print.
