The ancient Greeks identified 4 elemental forces that made up our world. We are familiar with air, water, fire, and earth. However, there was a 5th force: the Ether. It was that force for matter beyond our world: what we saw in the night sky.

The idea of Aether is coming back into circulation as scientists discover discrete connections between consciousness and matter. What is this mysterious elemental force that connects our thoughts with the physical stuff of our world?

This painting was produced on yupo paper, a polypropylene material. An initial layer of Venetian plaster is sealed, and thin, fluid layers of mica paint create the surface of the painting. After it is mounted on sealed 4-ply mat board, a thin gold ring is added. This signifies the sacred quality of all energy.
