It is undeniable that the trees converse with the sky, and the clouds converse with the trees. You might wonder how this is so. Why would this be true? This modest painting shows a conversation in process. The cloud bank, lit with a lowering sun, spread out the clump of itself. The trees, eager for reflection, noticed how similar the clump of these atmospheric denizens was to their own neighborhood of clump. They visited. I think it was convivial.

This work was created with watercolor pencils on prepared paper. Done onsite, the work was returned to the studio and finished with further decision-making.
