The sky seems immutable. It feels ever present; at night the stars ever distant.

Yet, sometimes, the stars come down to Earth - they visit. They are curious about us, and about this little blue marble spinning and encircling its own star. Just as we are curious about them. What they say, I have not heard. But their passage is an adventure, surely arduous and filled with many transitions. That they come, we can be grateful.

This work is produced on yupo paper, mounted on an MDF panel. The surface contains oil paint, mica, Venetian plaster, and 23k red gold. It installs with a cleat, which is included. The edges of this painting are gilded to match the ring that encircles the work.
