During the early summer, woodland streams often taper off compared to the gushing of springtime flow. There remains a sparkling quality to streams finding their way through the woods: shadow play on the surface, and the water itself sparkles as it jiggles over rocks, and branches in its way. The shimmering qualities of light within a woods is potent. It's a quiet kind of flux, sometimes askew in the wind. The woods are always lovely, dark and deep: leaves and light make the surfaces of everything glimmer and glow.

Oil on canvas. This artwork is .75" thick: prepared canvas is stretched on a round, wooden frame. The work is signed on the back, and lined with 4ply mat board to prevent surface cracking.
